Sonbio Solutions was founded in 2018 by Noyan Songur, who specialised in biomedical  and robotics engineering. He received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University in Biomedical Engineering, and his Master's degree from Imperial College London in Robotics. Noyan previously held research positions at world-leading institutes and worked at leading tech and consultancy companies, during which he managed large-scale engineering projects.
